Training
Asbestos removal is a highly legislated field. Therefore we ensure that we maintain a highly trained workforce in accordance with Cat 1(C) ARCA and UKATA standards (Chapter 4 HSG 247) to ensure on-going compliance and safety at each of our project sites.
In addition to these asbestos removal training requirements our site staff are also qualified to a range of additional site standards including:
- SMSTS / SSSTS
- CSCS - Constructions Skills Certification Scheme cards
- Confined Space Working
- Working at Height (PASMA)
- IOSH
Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
To ensure the on-going competence and development of our asbestos removal operatives and supervisors, we have developed our TNA strategy. This has been designed to reflect the latest and preferred approach to training as highlighted by joint guidance produced by ARCA and the HSE. The TNA scheme ensures that we continually observe and assess each member of our site teams. We identify individual training needs to enable them to remain fully competent and to work to achieve their potential.
Specialist Training
Due to the nature of many of the projects we are engaged in, our site staff also hold a variety of specialist site access and operating training clearances, for instance:
- Airports (Airside passes)
- Rail (Trackside training – Sentinel cards)
- Government Buildings (e.g. Schedule 31, HMRC)
- MoD and other security clearances
- Financial Institutions (Banks and Building Societies)
Tablet Tracking
We utilise the very latest tablet technology which incorporates a bespoke ‘training app’ to enable real time access to all site staff training records and documentation, 24/7.
These ‘apps’ eliminate errors, reduce paperwork and ensure documents are continually refreshed so that they are current and compliant.
