Online Xmas Soccer Game: Winners & Charities announced
Posted on in Company News
A big thank you to the hundreds of people who played our online ‘Soccer Skill Shot’ game at the end of last year. As an annual Rhodar event, this latest campaign had a World Cup theme, and proved to be as popular as ever!
All players who registered their scores were entered into a prize draw for a charity donation…and we are now delighted to announce our three winners and their chosen charities:
1st prize winner – Mike Poultney
Mike will be sending his £500 donation to Crohn’s & Colitis UK
2nd prize winner - Anonymous
Our second prize winner would prefer not to be named, but wishes to send their £350 prize donation to Mind
3rd prize winner – Dean Cox
Dean has chosen to send his £250 prize donation to Chatten Free School
All 3 winners were informed of the results of the draw earlier this week, where we had the opportunity to gain an insight into their chosen charities and the importance of the work that they carry out on a daily basis…
Mike will be sending his £500 donation to Crohn’s & Colitis UK, supporting the brilliant work they do in assisting everyone affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.
Every day, people are diagnosed with Crohn's or Colitis, the two main forms of inflammatory bowel disease and since 1979, Crohn’s & Colitis UK has made it their mission to fully understand each individual’s experience, to provide better support for those affected.
Our second winner wishes to donate their £350 to Mind, in support of their incredible work raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing, to ensure that no one faces a mental health problem alone.
Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling. Mind provides advice and support for anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
They aim to raise awareness and promote a greater understanding of mental health, and how we can all approach those experiencing problems with the sensitivity and respect that they deserve.
Dean will be sending his £250 prize donation to Chatten Free School, highlighting the invaluable support they provide to children and young people affected by autism and associated learning difficulties. Dean’s donation will go towards a new sensory garden for the children, as well as a sensory pathway and wall for children to make their way around the building with confidence.
A specialist school based in Essex, Chatten Free School makes a positive and tangible difference in the lives of pupils both in their present and for their future. The school works to provide multi-professional and experience-based teaching that is tailored to the needs of the individual pupils.
Our 3 winners have also won themselves corporate hospitality tickets to a football match at Elland Road this year, along with one of our sought-after mini skills-footballs … to practise their own footie skills!
We’re delighted that the ‘Soccer Skill Shot Game’ (played by hundreds of football fans!) created such a positive impact in the lead up to Christmas, and that three wonderful charities will benefit from this campaign.
We’re also extremely happy to announce that an additional 30 participants, randomly drawn, will each be receiving their very own mini skills-football!
