Rhodar completes demolition works at Wigan Galleries

Over the past 18 months, working for our client BCEGI Construction (UK) Limited, we have delivered a complex sequence of demolition & related works at the 41,000m² Wigan Galleries city centre site. Our works have prepared the way for the £135m redevelopment programme – set to be one of the UK’s most innovative low carbon, town centre, regeneration projects.
To celebrate the completion of our works, we’ve produced a timelapse video that visually captures our achievements in just over 2 minutes!
With our demolition activities now complete, we recently handed back the site so that Wigan Council & Cityheart can commence the next phase of the development.
We would like to thank our hard-working project team and BCEGI Construction (UK) Limited, along with our wider supply network, for their commitment and dedication in delivering such a significant project – it’s been a great example of innovative and collaborative working.
We’d also like to thank the people of Wigan for being so welcoming to our delivery team over the past year … we’ve made some great friends!
