Demolition Operatives

We are looking for Demolition Operatives of All Grades, to work on a site in Edinburgh. 

Are you an experienced demolition operative, or looking to start your career in demolition? Rhodar’s Demolition Division is expanding, and we’re searching for motivated, skilled, and safety-conscious individuals to join our dynamic team. We have opportunities for operatives of all grades to work on high-profile projects across Scotland, including in East Calder and Edinburgh.

Pay rate: £ Competitive rates and benefits based on experience and qualifications.

About the role

As part of the Rhodar team, you will be involved in a wide range of demolition activities, from soft strip works and deconstruction to full demolition and site clearance. Our projects are varied and offer you the opportunity to expand your skills and work with industry-leading equipment.

Role responsibilities

  • Carrying out demolition works according to the method statement and safety procedures.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team on major demolition projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
  • Operating machinery such as excavators, skid steer loaders, and hand tools (for qualified operatives).
  • Assisting with soft stripping, material removal, and waste management.
  • Maintaining and handling equipment properly.

 About you 

  • Previous experience in demolition or construction preferred (all grades welcome).
  • Relevant CCDO (Certificate of Competence for Demolition Operatives) card preferred, but full training can be provided.
  • Commitment to safety and following strict health & safety procedures.
  • Ability to work at height and in confined spaces (training will be provided).
  • Flexibility to work on various projects across the region.
  • Full driving licence would be advantageous but not essential and willingness to travel to different sites across Scotland and potentially our UK based operations.
